It was pretty soggy.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Poly Millien2024-07-03This is my fourth visit at Burek King and it was nothing short of excellent! The home made feel and well prepared meals was delightful down to the bone. I normally go for the meat burek and a side of chevapi, but to serve my apetite on a hot day I opted for some veal soup and a small shopska (salad). I have been practicing my Bosnian speaking skills as of late to inspired a Bosnian girl friend. My beginner learnings of speaking Bosnian was just enough to impress the family that attended my service. They were so elated! The family that runs this shop was so warm welcoming and quick with service. I will be back for another 4x. You guys are the best!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Andy James2024-06-29My family and I went here after Jumaa for lunch. I have a super picky 12 year old that literally only eats about 20 food items [you know fries and burgers and ketchup] and she was happy with the meat burek. We enjoyed the soups immensely. The bureks were eaten by all four of our "American eating' kids. My wife and I enjoyed the kebabs alongside the simple salad. The food is traditional Bosnian fare and so it's simple - but its prepared, cooked, and served with love and care. I honestly felt like we might have been in a village cafe somewhere in Bosnia - not in the streets of NJ. A great measure of the food is how it sits about an hour or two after eating and my wife who is generally very "reactive" to bad oils and GMO wheat / bad foods reported feeling satiated and happy afterwards as opposed to having a bloated stomach that one may have from eating "factory breads" with kabobs and fries at other halal cafes. The traditional Bosnian coffee [similar but sufficiently different to Turkish coffee] was also a treat. The "home made" sweets were also enjoyed by everyone. For a simple, wholesome, tasty, fresh meal served in a super clean cafe I would give this place 5 out 5 stars. More than anything else, its reasonably well priced - if not a steal. For six people who all had drinks, a couple of bowls of soup, a plate of kebabs, burek slices all round, a small salad, sweets, and coffee we paid around $110. Definitely give it a go!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Alireza Saboori2024-06-23Great Burek place! One of the best Bosnian places I've been to. I wasn't too fond of the sweets. And I wish they had more breakfast options. Solid decorations . And don't forget to get Bosnian coffee after it's all done!
